FAQ FROM OUR CLIENTS
LIP BLUSH/DARK LIP NEUTRALIZATION
Lip Blush and Dark Lip neutralization are both categorized as a permanent makeup tattoo service. Lip blush is meant for any clients with pale or pink lips who are looking to enhance their natural lips whereas Dark Lip Neutralization is recommended for any clients who require correction for dark/cool toned lips. Neutralization must be done first before adding high concentrated pigments to avoid the lips from being compromised. In some cases if you experience a darker top lip + pink bottom lip, a hybrid approach will take place
Yes of course! They do not interfere with each other, however you must space out your appointments minimum 4-5 weeks apart. It is always encouraged for clients to allow the lips to heal and regenerate. If you are unsure of which to receive first, you may always reach out so we can assist you better!
This is a personal decision. However, we recommend reaching out via email info@torontobeautyroom.com to receive professional feedback as everyone has their very own lip case study. If you are not interested with the idea of injections/fillers then receiving a lip blush service may be more suitable to cater towards your needs
The first 3-5 days is crucial, you must keep the lips clean and follow the recommended aftercare. You will experience mild peeling during the first 3-5 days. The colour will develop throughout the weeks, and the final colour bloom for Lip Blush takes 6-8 weeks while Dark Lips can take 8-16+ weeks. Touch ups will be always more seamless and half the downtime!
Depending on your skin, health and touch up refreshers, your tattoo will last anywhere from 2-4 years . Here are some factors that will cause your semi-permanent tattoo to fade faster:
- Oily skin
- Retinol or Vitamin C
- Iron deficiency
- Sun exposure
- Exfoliants
- Exposure to salt water
If precare is properly followed, the service is tolerable with minor discomfort. Our Master Artist, Linda uses a prenumbing and a secondary numbing for during the service to provide maximum comfort for the client. If you are nervous about pain, you may take 1-2 Tylenol(s) 30 minutes before your appointment. DO NOT take Advil or any blood thinning medications, drink coffee/tea or alcohol 48 hours before your appointment. Doing so will heighten your sensitivity level. Additionally, we recommend scheduling your appointment apart from your menstrual cycle (5 days before/after)
You may NOT get this procedure done if:
+ You are under 18 years ago+ You are pregnant or breastfeeding+ Have been on Accutane within the past year+ Have HIV or Hepatitis or any other infectious or viral diseases+ Undergoing Chemotherapy+ You are eplieptic+ You are taking medications that may affect how your skin responds to blood clotting and healing+ You develop infections easily+ If you have already received a lip blush tattoo service that is too dark or thick(Please email us info@torontobeautyroom.com a photo for cover up approvals)
After the initial visit, we always highly recommended in order to enhance your lip blush shape and colour. It is recommended to get a minimum of 2 sessions in order to lock in the retention, add more colour where necessary and to get your desired result. Touch ups are a preference, some clients prefer their lips to look more natural with a tint while others like more of a bold lipstick look. Dark lip/trickier lip case studies may require more sessions based on their healing response

American style volume sets are fully customizable whether its the shape, style or length. There is a range of different looks that can be achieved with volume sets. If you are looking for something that is great for day-to-day wear, volume lashes can be your go-to set! Bring in your favourite strip-lash or a picture of our work to show us your lash goals.
Although lash theory remains the same, the lash application will vary based on the artist. In the case that there is too much glue or the lashes are clumped/clustered and unworkable on, a removal is necessary ($). However, if the foreign work is approved by our technician, a foreign fee of $40+hst will be applicable on top of the refill price.
Please note: that it may take up to 2-3 refills to fully transition your old set into our new work! We are not responsible for previous work that may have caused damage to the lash line
-Half sets can take up to 1.5 hours.
-Full sets can range from 2-2.5 hours, which includes consultation, application and aftercare instructions.
-Refills take anywhere from 1.15-1.5 hours which includes removal of old extensions + application of new extensions. All volume/mega volume fans are handmade on the spot.
Refills will vary based on the clients lash cycle and maintenance. We recommend clients to book their refills within 2-3 weeks to ensure they are applicable for a refill with at least 40% lashes remaining. What does this mean? After removing your grown out extensions, you should have approximately 40% of extensions remaining. However, faster lash cycles may result in bi weekly refills for better maintenance
A half set is our newest most high in demand service here at Toronto Beauty Room. It is a great introductory for any clients who are new to lash extensions or someone who simply just wants a quick fix for a vacation or special event. Every set is custom to the client, lasting roughly up to 2.5 weeks. Half the price and half the lay down time
LASH LIFT
While both services will have an end result of natural looking lashes there is a major difference. Classic lashes involve attaching 1:1 lash extensions to your natural lashes enhancing the length and density of your lashes. While you cannot make your lashes 'fuller' as it can only be as full as the state of your natural lashes, it still gives it that extra umph. A lash lift does not adhere any type of extension to your natural lashes. It simply lifts and curls your natural lashes in the same manner of using a lash curler - just more permanent. Classic lashes require a little bit more maintenance with fills every 2-3 weeks versus for a lash lift where there is no maintenance - simply treat them like you would your normal lashes. They will last anywhere from 4-8 weeks depending on your natural lash cycle.
Lash lifts are ideal for those who prefer a natural look and minimal maintenance. The best part? You can still wear mascara to enhance your lashes. This treatment can be done on any eyeshape and any ethnic background, with proper knowledge and skill we are able to achieve beautiful results for everyone!
Preparing your natural lashes is key! Healthy strong lashes will give you the best result. You can always pair it up with a Revive serum (available to purchase at our studio) and use 2x a day leading up to you appointment. We ask clients to refrain usage 7 days before and after your appointment.
Additionally, you can maximize your lash lifts by ensuring you follow the proper after care. Making sure that you nourish your lashes and keeping them from getting dry and brittle will help prolong them.
No!! Unlike lash extensions, there is no downtime for a lash lift + tint service. Just ensure that you do not get them wet or go into steaming saunas for the first 24 hours to allow the nutrients and treatment to penetrate the lash follicles.
