Agenda

- To get started, there will be an online zoom workshop with our Instructor, Linda that will take place before the in person training for approximately 2 hours each day (mandatory).
- In class learning will consist of full 8 hour days. We will work together hands on with different tools, equipment and supplies while referring back to the manual/theory that was discussed prior. Homework will be assigned at the end of class
- After completion of our course, students are welcome back to schedule their touch up day with their model, supervised by our Instructor (between 6-12 weeks)

Day 1 | 9:30am-5pm

(lunch included) Together we will unbox your student kit and your very own PMU machine and understand how to properly utilize the machine. We will go through the manual again to refresh the theory we discussed via zoom. Additionally, a separate presentation will be provided by our Instructor to discuss various case studies + techniques. Together we will practice holding the machine to better understand proper needle depth, shading techniques (how to create flawless pixels) on a fake tattoo skin with various activities, finished off with a colour theory introduction. We will end off the class with a teacher demonstration that will be conducted from start to finish. During this time, students are encouraged to take notes, record videos and ask questions during this demonstration. Students will be assigned homework in preparation for Day 2 learning.

Day 2 | 10:00am-6:00pm

(lunch included) A recap of Day 1 will be discussed while further highlighting the important topics. An in-depth breakdown of colour theory + pigmentology will be explained to help students understand how to create different colour mixes as well as how to identify colorant(s) + their ingredients. Students will then continue to practice on fake skin until their model arrives. During this period, we will troubleshoot any bad habits and practice pressure/depth and shading, through different activities. We will set up the service room together in preparation for your model. The service will be done in rotation between the student and Instructor to ensure students are on the right track for each step during the procedure. A demonstration for each step will be made throughout the tattoo process to help ensure students are confident during their hands on experience. Once complete, we will take photographs to document your first lip model!

Day 3 | 10:00am-6:00pm

(lunch included) A brief explanation on dark lips will be covered to ensure basic principle and knowledge is understood by students. However, additional advanced training is highly recommended to further your skills/knowledge. We will continue to work on your machine handling and shading technique to help create flawless pixels. We will review and troubleshoot any areas that may arise during your practice. Students will conduct the consultation and prep the client for the service. By now, students will be more comfortable to work on their model from start to finish. Photographs will be taken throughout each day to help expand your portfolio!
