LIP BLUSH
What is the difference between dark lip neutralization and lip blush
They are both a semi permanent makeup tattoo service. Lip blush is meant for any clients with pale or pink lips whereas Dark Lip Neutralization is recommended for any clients who experience dark/cool toned lips. Neutralization must be done first before adding high concentrated pigments to avoid lips from being compromised.
Can I get lip blush done if I have lip fillers?
Yes of course! They do not interfere with each other, however you must space out your appointment 4-6 weeks apart (before/after receiving lip fillers or a lip flip). If you are debating on which service to get done first, we recommend receiving your lip blush service first in order to create a lip shape that is contoured along your lip skin as lip fillers tend to migrate outside of the lip skin.
How long does it take to heal?
The procedure downtime is anywhere from 3-7 days. You will see the final healed colour in 6-8 weeks for Lip Blush and 8-12+ weeks for Dark Lip Neutralization. You will experience minor peeling during the first 2-7 days.
How long does the tattoo last?
Depending on your skin, health and touch up refreshers, your tattoo will last anywhere from 2-4 years . Here are some factors that will cause your semi-permanent tattoo to fade faster:
- Oily skin
- Retinol or Vitamin C
- Iron deficiency
- Sun exposure
- Exfoliants
- Exposure to salt water
Is the service painful?
The service can be slightly uncomfortable but is definitely tolerable. Linda uses one pre numbing before and tons of secondary numbing during the tattooing process. If you are nervous about pain, you may take 1-2 Tylenol(s) 30 minutes before your appointment. DO NOT take Advil or any blood thinning medications, drink coffee/tea or alcohol 48 hours before your appointment. Doing so will heighten your sensitivity level. Additionally, we recommend scheduling your appointment apart from your menstrual cycle.
Am I a good candidate?
You may NOT get this procedure done if:
+ You are under 18 years ago
+ You are pregnant or breastfeeding
+ Have been on Accutane within the past year
+ Have HIV or Hepatitis or any other infectious or viral diseases
+ Undergoing Chemotherapy
+ You are eplieptic
+ You are taking medications that may affect how your skin responds to blood clotting and healing
+ You develop infections easily
+ If you have already received a lip blush tattoo service that is too dark or thick (Please email us info@torontobeautyroom.com a photo for cover up approvals)
Do I need a touch up?
A touch up after 2 months is highly recommended in order to enhance your lip blush shape and colour. It is recommended to get a minimum of 2 sessions in order to lock in the retention and get your desired result. Touch ups are a preference, some clients prefer their lips to look more natural with a tint while others like more of a bold lipstick look.
LASH EXTENSIONS
What type of lash set do you recommend for an everyday look?
Depending on your go-to makeup routine, if you prefer something more natural (your lashes but better) Classic sets are highly recommended as it is 1:1 ratio with your natural lashes. Perfect for first time clients!
Can volume lashes be customized?
American style volume sets are fully customizable whether its the shape, style or length. There is a range of different looks that can be achieved with volume sets. If you are looking for something that is great for day-to-day wear, volume lashes can be your go-to set! Bring in your favourite strip-lash or a picture of our work to show us your lash goals.
How long is the service?
Full sets can range from 2-2.5 hours, which includes consultation, application and aftercare instructions. Refills take anywhere from 1.15-1.5 hours which includes removal of old extensions + application of new extensions. All volume/mega volume fans are handmade on the spot.
I have lashes from another lash artist, do I need a removal?
Although lash theory remains the same, lash application will vary based on the artist. In the case that there is too much glue, clumped lashes or unworkable on, a full removal is needed. However, if the foreign work is approved by our technician, a foreign fee of $40 will be applicable on top of your refill.
When should I come for my refills?
Refills will vary based on the client's lash cycle and maintenance. Typically, clients are expected to book their refills within 2-3 weeks to ensure they are applicable for a refill amount. We recommend clients to come in with 40% remaining lashes. What does this mean? After removal of your grown out lashes, you should have approximately 40% of extensions remaining. However, faster lash cycles may result in bi weekly refills for better maintenance.
Are lash extensions high maintenance?
Similar to getting your nails done, lash extensions are to be maintained monthly so you have nice and full lashes! It is 50% lash artist and 50% clients aftercare in order to have the best retention possible.
LASH LIFT
What is the difference between classic lashes and lash lifts?
While both services will have an end result of natural looking lashes there is a major difference. Classic lashes involve attaching 1:1 lash extensions to your natural lashes enhancing the length and density of your lashes. While you cannot make your lashes 'fuller' as it can only be as full as the state of your natural lashes, it still gives it that extra umph. A lash lift does not adhere any type of extension to your natural lashes. It simply lifts and curls your natural lashes in the same manner of using a lash curler - just more permanent. Classic lashes require a little bit more maintenance with fills every 2-3 weeks versus for a lash lift where there is no maintenance - simply treat them like you would your normal lashes. They will last anywhere from 4-8 weeks depending on your natural lash cycle.
Who do you recommend lash lifts for?
Lash lifts are recommended for those individuals who like a natural look, still enjoy wearing mascara on their lashes, and like minimal maintenance. They are perfect for clients with thick, full, and long natural lashes.
How do I maximize my lash lifts?
You can maximize your lash lifts by ensuring you follow the proper pre and after care. Making sure that you nourish your lashes and keeping them from getting dry and brittle will help prolong them.
Is there any downtime to lash lifts?
No, there is no downtime for a lash lift. Right after your appointment you will see the final result immediately. Just ensure that you do not get them wet for the first 24 hours, after which you can treat them like you normally would!
